Our 3D Scanning services at CC3D involve various stages, but for each client we employ the same methodology towards scanning items of significant importance to our clients or towards individuals wishing to be scanned themselves. When we meet you for your scanning appointment we shall first get to know your goals as an individual or business and then see what services will be best suited for you or your company. In many cases where Intellectual Property is a key factor, we shall insist in co-signing non-disclosure agreements.

Once we have agreed upon the object of interest that we shall scan for you, we need to optimise the object’s position before being scanned. There are several factors that need to be considered before we scan any object. • Reflective surfaces • Ambient lighting • Transparency

SCANNING PROCESS

Our 3D scanning software can be optimised for collecting topographic data in several ways. Once the best mode is selected we shall begin by scanning the object in a fixed position and move around the about within the 3D space.

ORIGINAL SCANNED DATA- Original copies and repeats of individual items are very important to us as they form the base line for all potential CAD processes that are required for us to create digital copies or 3D models that can be forwarded on to become 3D printable items.

PRODUCT DELIVERY

DIGITISATION OF SCANNED OBJECTS

Scanned 3D objects whose intention are to remain as digital representations can be distributed to clients as digital content. 3D scanned digital products that are used for 3D printing physical objects can be delivered along with physical products securely by post or in person by a CC3D staff member.
