Here at CC3D we have the ability to 3D scan objects of interest for clients, 3D print scanned objects and CAD models that our clients have chosen and provide to us via our Direct Consultation Service offered to Cornish based clients and Indirect Consultation Service offered to all clients based in the United Kingdom. We aim to bring your imagination and designs to life for your personal interests or business needs and goals.
We currently accept .stl, .step (.stp), .iges (.igs), .obj, .wrl and .zip. Up to 100MB per uploaded file.
Don’t worry! At CC3D we can help you develop your ideas and help modify and manipulate your CAD designs you have created independently. We DO NOT however, provide a service to build CAD designs from scratch. Our primary service is to help create physical representation of your ideas, not to create the 3D digitised models. In time we hope to provide this CAD service in addition to our current services in future. Our Consultation Service will determine what input is required by CC3D to create your projects.
To make sure your model is ready to be manufactured in the most optimal way it can be, please take a look at our DESIGN SMARTER page before placing your order or if you are in real doubt please message CC3D and we shall get back to you to advise you where and when appropriate.
You can pay online once you’ve uploaded your model(s) and we have sent you a quote regarding you desired project. We currently accept Paypal, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, JCB and Discover. For the design Consultation Service we’ll send you an invoice once we’ve agreed a fee with you or your business.
No. However ordinarily, visits to the manufacturing facility will be permitted by invitation only from a senior member of CC3D staff. On occasions where facility visits are permitted, they shall be conducted alongside a CC3D senior staff member at all times.
This will depend at what stage your order is. Once the manufacturing process has started we cannot cancel the order. Please see Terms & Conditions for details.
We strive to get your order ready for dispatch in 72 hours from payment. This will greatly depend on the type of order, model, material and post process service required. We shall contact you throughout your order’s processing and keep you up to date with things. In cases where we are assisting with your designs this may increase the time requirements.
We do not currently provide this option. We only deliver to clients based within the United Kingdom. We hope to expand this to European Union countries and Worldwide in future.
Currently no. However in future we shall certainly be aiming to help support 3D printing services and 3D scanning services for students, by providing discounts where possible and feasible.
Using our Design Smarter Guide, will help create smooth models, but we are also happy to smooth printed models by hand to improve their aesthetics post printing at an additional cost.
No. The Consultation Service we provide at CC3D whose purpose is to aid designers, businesses and individuals, is exclusive to residents based in the county of Cornwall. CC3D doesn’t not currently have the capability to help on a face to face basis with clients outside Cornwall. Alternatively, our indirect consultation service is certainly a nationwide option for all enthusiasts, professionals and developers hoping to use our services.
We are currently limited to print volume of 20cm x 20cm x 25cm. However our growing number of professional desktop printers will also grow in terms of build volume over time. Ultimately we hope to purchase industrial printers capable of build volumes of 1m x 1m x 1m. Please note however that the build volume limitation does not necessarily limit your chosen object size; we are capable of subdividing your model to be printed in separate pieces to be reassembled by hand post printing.
We current host PLA, ABS and a flexible PLA derivative filaments for 3D printed objects. We will expand the choice of materials in future, so that we can support you in as many feasible ways as possible for your chosen projects.
Yes you can. We recommend adjusting the interface distance to no less than 0.25mm. Moving parts can be printed in situ with the other moving parts or independently. There may be occasions where either method may be preferred, but independently printing moving parts typically results in lower risk prints and better results for you.
Our machines boast a dimensional accuracy of +/- 0.5%, however this will greatly depend on the size of the model and materials used.
Yes, you can upload up to 8 models at one time. With each file not exceeding 100mb.
